On 22nd of May, our colleagues from the monitoring department participated in the Opening Conference of the project "Safer communities in the cross-border area by improved disaster management” – Safe Area, organized under the Interreg V-A Romania- Hungary Cooperation Programme. The project beneficiaries - Vălcani Commune from Romania and Municipality of Földeák from Hungary – set out in their initiative to develop a cross-border disaster prevention program reuniting activities such as trainings for volunteer fire fighters, thus reinforcing joint fire-fighting capacity, and developing common strategies and protocols in order to prevent emergencies
