Summary
CROSSDUAL bridges the gap between vocational education and labour market needs by aligning training programs with employer expectations through cross-border cooperation between Romania and Hungary. The project strengthens trust between vocational institutions, businesses, and support organisations in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Satu Mare counties. By promoting dual training models, it fosters a more dynamic and responsive vocational education system, contributing to long-term regional development.
Project Aim
The project aims to harmonise vocational training supply with labour market demand by fostering dual training systems through coordinated cross-border actions, knowledge exchange, and institutional cooperation.
Objectives
✅ Improve alignment between vocational education and labour market needs through dual training
✅ Foster cooperation between vocational schools, enterprises, and stakeholders in the cross-border region
✅ Develop a joint labour market forecasting system to support informed decision-making
✅ Encourage knowledge sharing through joint events and dissemination workshops
✅ Promote good practices and sustainable cross-border cooperation in vocational education
Key Activities & Results
🔹 Labour Market Survey – A common methodology applied on both sides of the border to assess employer needs through questionnaires and interviews.
🔹 Joint Action Plan – Development of a bilingual cross-border strategy for dual vocational training and a catalogue of good practices.
🔹 Labour Market Forecasting System – Launch of a joint bilingual platform and database that links vocational training outputs with current and future market demands.
🔹 Cross-Border Vocational Education Days – Joint events in Hungary and Romania to connect teachers, students, and stakeholders.
🔹 Dissemination & Networking Workshops – Dedicated sessions to strengthen cooperation and share findings.
CROSSDUAL creates a future-oriented vocational education ecosystem where training is driven by real market needs, preparing youth with the skills required for sustainable employment and economic resilience in the border area.
