Summary
MIKROKOSMOS celebrates the legacy of Béla Bartók by promoting cultural and sustainable tourism, enhancing social innovation, and strengthening cross-border cooperation between Romania and Hungary. Through a wide range of artistic, educational, and digital activities, the project fosters cultural awareness and community cohesion. It transforms Sânnicolau Mare into a cultural hub and supports the development of tourism infrastructure, including the construction of the Bartók Memorial House and other cultural venues.

Project Aim
To enhance social innovation across the Romania–Hungary border by developing cultural and sustainable tourism and promoting Béla Bartók’s heritage.

Objectives
✅ Promote Bartók’s legacy through cross-border cultural exchanges
✅ Strengthen cultural identity and community cohesion
✅ Support innovation in art education through strategic planning
✅ Develop cultural infrastructure and attract tourism to rural areas
✅ Foster cooperation among public institutions, artists, and educators

Key Activities & Results
🔹 Joint Strategy Development – A trilingual digital strategy titled “The Art and Science – Innovation in Art Education”
🔹 Transnational Events – Over 290 participants engaged in activities such as:
       • Dance courses (60 participants)
       • Interactive workshops (75 participants)
       • Digital art events for Gen Y and Z (48 participants)
       • Anthropology Conference (50 participants)
       • Student exchanges (24 participants)
       • Transcription workshops (12 participants)
       • Art Camp (20 students)
🔹 Cultural Market constructed in Ásotthalom – A covered open-air venue for performances and events
🔹 Musical Park constructed in Jebel – Hosting concerts celebrating Bartók’s music
🔹 Bartók Memorial House constructed in Sânnicolau Mare – A faithful replica of Bartók’s original residence, serving as a museum and cultural landmark

By blending cultural heritage with innovation and education, MIKROKOSMOS transforms the ROHU region into a vibrant cross-border cultural destination inspired by the legacy of Béla Bartók.
