Summary
Rhythm unites young people from Romania and Hungary through the shared language of music and dance. The project encourages creativity, friendship, and cultural connection across borders, using performing arts as a bridge for cooperation and mutual understanding.
In Timișoara, the Bastion Association renovates a professional music rehearsal room fully equipped for local youth bands. Meanwhile, in Makó, the For a Better Makó Association installs modern sound and dance equipment to support community performance spaces. Together, they open new opportunities for young musicians and dancers to explore their talents in inspiring environments.
Beyond infrastructure, Rhythm focuses on real human connection. A joint youth camp in Makó gathers 10 participants from each country, who co-create a unique dance and music performance later showcased at a regional festival. A two-day dance competition in Szeged brings together dancers from both countries, while a youth event in Timișoara celebrates joint performances by mixed groups on stage.
Through music, movement, and shared creativity, the project helps young people gain confidence, teamwork skills, and cultural awareness, while fostering lasting friendships across the border.
