Summary

CBC OrDe HERITAGE strengthens cultural and tourism cooperation between Oradea (Romania) and Debrecen (Hungary) by creating a sustainable, interconnected cultural network that blends heritage restoration with digital innovation.

At its core, the project revitalises the historic Husarilor Barracks in Oradea, transforming it into a multifunctional cultural complex equipped with modern digital tools. Alongside this investment, both cities host a vibrant programme of art exhibitions, conferences, workshops, and creative digital hackathons (collaborative innovation events bringing together artists, designers, and technology experts).

A key highlight is the “Digital Nature: Hackathon for a Greener Future”, an innovative initiative that redefines how digital art can promote sustainability. Through artistic collaboration, workshops, and shared cultural experiences, the project deepens cross-border ties and positions Oradea and Debrecen as regional leaders in eco-conscious cultural tourism.
