Summary

CCSA addresses a crucial cross-border challenge by bridging the gap between border authorities and citizens in Romania and Hungary. Through the establishment of digital information centers, public information campaigns, and a best practices guide, the project enhances public understanding of border control measures and legal provisions. Project Aim

The project aims to significantly improve public understanding of border control measures and legal frameworks, promoting safe and lawful cross-border movement while fostering trust between citizens and authorities.

Objectives

✅ Increase public awareness and understanding of border control measures and legal frameworks
✅ Establish accessible Digital Information Points in Romania and Hungary for better citizen engagement
✅ Foster cross-border cooperation between Romanian and Hungarian border education institutions
✅ Promote legal compliance and prevent illegal migration through targeted communication
✅ Strengthen mutual trust between citizens and border authorities in the cross-border region

Key Activities & Results

🔹 Digital Information Points – Renovation and equipment of 2 Digital Information Points (one at the Avram Iancu Border Police Training School in Oradea, RO, and one at the Police Education and Training Center in Szeged, HU), offering digital resources and information materials about border crossing rules and legal frameworks​.
🔹 Cross-Border Best Practices Guide – Organisation of 2 workshops leading to the development of a comprehensive Citizen Information Guide on cross-border procedures and legislation.
🔹 Public Information Campaigns – Implementation of 2 campaigns, one in each country, informing and engaging 100 participants (50 in Romania, 50 in Hungary) about legal provisions, surveillance systems, and best practices in crossing and border behaviour.
🔹 Enhanced Cross-Border Cooperation – Strengthening ties between Romanian and Hungarian training institutions to promote sustainable cooperation and knowledge exchange in border security practices.

By making border-related information more transparent and accessible, CCSA builds a safer and more cooperative cross-border environment. Through improved communication and trust, citizens and authorities work closer than ever for a secure and resilient region.
