Summary
DREAM project aims to address the absence of a direct rail line crossing the cross-border region between Szeged and Timișoara, which impacts both passenger and freight transport negatively. The project focuses on developing design documentation, environmental and sustainability studies, and other necessary documents to support the establishment of this railway line.

✅ Enhance public administration cooperation and resolve legal and administrative obstacles

Key Activities & Results
🔹 Design Documentation – Elaboration of the Feasibility Study for the Szeged-Timișoara railway
🔹 Environmental Studies – Conducting a climate resilience test, Natura 2000 impact assessment, DNSH assessment, and wildlife survey.
🔹 Workshops and Stakeholder Engagement – Organizing workshops to facilitate the elaboration of the feasibility study, technical documentation, and other related documents.
🔹 Joint Railway Investment Plan - Elaboration of a Joint Railway Investment Plan that includes a technical description of the railway investment, as outlined in the Feasibility Study, along with elements and data related to biodiversity and environmental protection, adopted by line ministries.
By integrating modern infrastructure with cross-border initiatives, DREAM revitalises transport services in the region. By the end of the project, the cross-border area aim to be more connected, sustainable, and efficient.
