Summary

FIGHT strengthens emergency preparedness and resilience in the Romania–Hungary border area by improving the skills, coordination, and equipment of professional and volunteer firefighters.

The project enhances cross-border disaster response through joint field exercises, harmonised training plans, and shared rescue standards.

It also fosters cooperation between authorities and communities, ensuring faster, safer, and more effective responses to emergencies such as fires, floods, or accidents.

Project Aim

To increase the safety and protection of the population by strengthening the intervention capacity of professional and volunteer emergency services in the Romania–Hungary border area.
