Summary

FolkFit connects the border communities of Doboz (HU) and Zerind (RO) through a unique mix of folk traditions and fitness.

The project encourages people of all ages, especially youth and families,  to engage in folk-dance workshops, festivals, and sports events, promoting both cultural heritage and healthy lifestyles.

By building two outdoor fit-parks and organising FolkFit Festivals, the project combines tradition, exercise, and social interaction, helping neighbours stay active and connected.

To strengthen cross-border ties and promote active, healthy living by blending folk culture with modern fitness activities in Doboz and Zerind.

🔹 Fit-Parks Construction – Two outdoor fit-parks (one in Doboz, one in Zerind) equipped with modern exercise stations for all ages.
🔹 FolkFit FestivalsTwo large festivals combining dance, music, sport, and health awareness.
🔹 Folk-Dance Workshops & CampFive workshops and one dance camp, engaging young people in traditional culture and teamwork.
🔹 Health-Screening Campaigns – Local actions encouraging preventive healthcare and active living.
🔹 Enhanced Community Cooperation – Stronger ties between local governments and associations.
