Summary
Heritage Tour strengthens cultural heritage and sustainable tourism by expanding and enhancing the Route of Medieval Churches across the RomaniaโHungary border. The project integrates the Bihar/Bihor region into an established cross-border heritage network, increasing visibility, accessibility, and cooperation around a rich but lesser-known network of medieval churches. Through restoration works, visitor-friendly developments, and network expansion, the project boosts tourism, strengthens cross-border cooperation, and supports long-term heritage preservation.

To increase visitation, awareness, and cooperation along the Route of Medieval Churches by restoring heritage sites, expanding the thematic route, and strengthening cultural and tourism networks.

๐น Sustainable Tourism Strategies โ Joint strategies supporting monument rehabilitation, cycling routes, and digital tools such as a mobile application.
