Summary

ROLE-ART promotes social inclusion and youth engagement by using artistic and cultural methods to activate young people in the Romania–Hungary border area. Targeting high school students and young adults in Szeged and Timișoara, the project introduces innovative, culture-based approaches that encourage participation, creativity, and community connection.
By focusing on artistic processes rather than artistic output, ROLE-ART supports personal development, strengthens social responsibility, and creates a transferable cultural methodology that can be used beyond the project’s lifetime.

Project Aim

To increase youth activity and social engagement by developing and applying innovative culture-based methods through cross-border cooperation.

Objectives

✅ Activate passive and isolated young people through artistic methods
✅ Develop and validate an innovative culture-based social innovation model
✅ Strengthen cross-border cooperation among cultural and youth organisations
✅ Improve social, communication, and cooperation skills of participants
✅ Promote community belonging and awareness of local cultural values

Key Activities & Results

🔹 Art Colonies – Organisation of 8 small-group art colonies and 2 joint art colonies, involving young people from Romania and Hungary.
🔹 Cultural Festivals – Organisation of 2 joint art festivals (one in Hungary and one in Romania) showcasing artworks and creative outputs.
🔹 Methodology Development – Preparation of 1 research paper, 1 cultural concept, and 2 professional cultural methodologies covering multiple artistic fields.
🔹 Creative Outputs – Production and exhibition of artworks created by participants in national and joint art colonies.
🔹 Youth Engagement – Involvement of at least 15 participants in each country, supporting personal development and community integration.

By empowering young people through creativity and collaboration, ROLE-ART delivers a scalable cultural model that strengthens social inclusion and cross-border cooperation.
