Summary

So-borders connects the communities of Létavértes (HU) and Săcueni (RO) through a shared mission: to promote health, physical activity, and cross-border friendship.

The project combines sports events, awareness campaigns, and workshops to encourage a healthier lifestyle and strengthen social ties between citizens of both towns. It also supports research and joint planning to sustain cooperation in public health and sport.

Community members of all ages take part in sports days, family activities, and prevention events, turning physical activity into a bridge for cooperation.

Project Aim

To promote health and community ties between the citizens of Săcueni and Létavértes through sports and prevention activities that inspire cooperation, well-being, and mutual understanding.

✅ Strengthen cross-border cooperation and community engagement
✅ Raise awareness about disease prevention and public health
✅ Develop a shared approach to health and sports policies
✅ Build long-term partnerships between local associations

Key Activities & Results

🔹 Joint Research – A study on health and sport.
🔹 Action Plan on Public Policy – A cross-border plan promoting long-term cooperation in health and sport.
🔹 Cross-border Sport DaysSix sport events bringing together participants from both communities.
🔹 Two Large-Scale Community Events –  “Day of Healthy Life” in Létavértesand  “Families’ Day” in Săcueni
🔹 WorkshopsTwo thematic sessions focusing on public health and sport promotion.
🔹 Community Participation – Around 1,380 total participations in sports and awareness activities.
