Summary
The TURRIVER 2023 initiative continues the work started under the previous Interreg RO-HU project ROHU-79 TURRIVER. The goal is to improve the condition of wetlands, habitats, and protected species along the Tur River through updated conservation measures and stronger cooperation.
The project also focuses on raising awareness in the local communities. It targets children and young people from nearby schools and farmers, whose daily work impacts protected areas.
By combining science, education, and local action, this is a great example of how Cohesion Policy helps nature thrive through joint efforts and community involvement.
