Summary
CBC Fest brings communities together through music, using choral festivals and joint performances to strengthen cross-border relationships between Romania and Hungary.
The project creates two large-scale cultural events with free access, making classical and choral music more accessible to the public. At the same time, it builds on existing cultural initiatives, such as the Francisc Hubic Festival in Oradea, while supporting the creation of a similar event, the Lautitia Festival in Debrecen.
Through exchange programmes between choirs, musicians cooperate, learn from each other, and build lasting connections. These shared experiences celebrate music while strengthening community ties and fostering long-term cultural cooperation rooted in a common heritage, faith traditions, and artistic expression.

🔹 Two Cross-Border Festivals – Organisation of the Francisc Hubic Festival in Oradea and the Lautitia Festival in Debrecen
🔹 Musicians’ Exchange Programme – Joint rehearsal and performance involving 160 musicians, plus a masterclass in Oradea for 100 participants led by a renowned lecturer
🔹 Public Cultural Events – Open-access concerts attracting approximately 1,000 participants across both festivals
🔹 Cross-Border Cooperation Strengthening – Continued cooperation between the two dioceses, building on existing partnerships and expanding people-to-people connections
