Summary

CULTURAL LIVING LAB |ROHU 618  reshapes the cultural landscape by creating modern spaces, developing digital tools, and strengthening the bond between Bihor and Hajdú-Bihar counties through culture, creativity, and cross-border cooperation. It builds a Multifunctional Cultural Center in Oradea, modernizes a cultural site in Debrecen, and connects communities through joint events, digital innovation, and artistic exchanges. By bringing culture closer to people, the project creates a dynamic, inclusive, and future-ready cultural network.

Project Aim 

The project establishes a vibrant cross-border cultural ecosystem, where innovation, digitalization, and artistic collaboration enhance cultural participation and promote the region’s heritage.

Develop and modernize cultural spaces to support new artistic expressions
Introduce digital and interactive tools to make culture more engaging and accessible
Support cross-border cooperation between artists, institutions, and local communities
Promote inclusivity in cultural participation, ensuring that diverse audiences, including young people and marginalized groups, can actively engage

Key Activities & Results

🔹 New Cultural Infrastructure – The construction of a Multifunctional Cultural Center in Oradea and the modernization of a cultural site in Debrecen to provide innovative spaces for artistic creation and public engagement.
🔹 Stronger Cross-Border Connections – A Twinning Agreement between Bihor and Hajdú-Bihar counties strengthens long-term cultural cooperation.
🔹 More Cultural Opportunities12 joint events, immersive art camps, and a talent contest offer young artists and local communities new ways to experience and contribute to culture.
🔹 Digital Innovation in Culture – A joint platform facilitates online cultural exchanges, expanding access to events and resources.
🔹 Increased Public Engagement – Festivals, exhibitions, and interactive programs make culture more accessible, dynamic, and inclusive.

By integrating modern infrastructure with cross-border initiatives, CULTURAL LIVING LAB revitalizes cultural life in the region. By the end of the project, culture in the cross-border region will be more dynamic, inclusive, and future-ready.
