 Summary

TERES | ROHU 623 improves cross-border emergency response between Romania and Hungary by addressing gaps in training, coordination, and resources. It strengthens disaster preparedness through joint training, modernized infrastructure, and enhanced cooperation, ensuring faster and more effective interventions.

Enhancing disaster response efficiency through coordinated training, improved facilities, and integrated intervention strategies.

Objectives

Develop cross-border disaster response centers and training facilities
Implement a joint training program and standardized intervention protocols
Improve real-time communication and cooperation between emergency services
Increase response capacity with specialized equipment and simulation exercises

Key Activities & Results

🔹 Infrastructure: New training & response centers in Marghita (RO), Satu Mare (RO), Mátészalka (HU), and Nyíregyháza (HU)
🔹 Capacity Building: 20+ joint training sessions and a large-scale emergency simulation
🔹 Strategic Equipment & Planning: Specialized emergency vehicles, protective equipment, and a unified response plan

TERES strengthens cross-border cooperation and readiness, ensuring faster and more effective emergency interventions.
