LET’S BUILD THE FUTURE INTERREG PROGRAMME BETWEEN ROMANIA AND HUNGARY TOGETHER 2028–2034!

STAKEHOLDER SURVEY NOW OPEN

The preparation of the future Interreg Programme between Romania and Hungary for the 2028–2034 period has officially started, and your contribution is essential.

This is an opportunity to reflect on the achievements and lessons learned from previous cooperation programmes and to help shape the priorities, needs and ambitions for the years ahead.

To support this process, we are launching a stakeholder consultation survey, open from 08.06.2026 to 01.08.2026

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The survey is open to beneficiaries of the 2007–2013, 2014–2020 and 2021–2027 programming periods, as well as to organisations interested in future cooperation opportunities.

We particularly encourage input from public authorities, public institutions, universities and schools, EGTCs, associations, NGOs, civil society organisations, chambers of commerce, churches and other relevant organisations active in the Programme area.

 WHY YOUR INPUT MATTERS

This is your opportunity to contribute directly to the design of the next Programme.

Your experience, insights, and perspectives will help us to better understand:

  • what worked well in previous programmes;
  • what challenges need to be addressed;
  • what opportunities should be supported in the future

Your feedback will contribute to creating a Programme that is more relevant,effective and better aligned with the real territorial needs of the Romania-Hungary border region.

Looking ahead

The future Programme is being developed within the framework of the EU’s Cohesion Policy - for 2028–2034, which is currently under discussion.

Early stakeholder involvement is crucial to ensuring that the future Programme reflects local realities and delivers meaningful results for communities across the border regions.

Thank you for helping shape the future of cooperation in the Romania–Hungary border region.
