We are excited to share that two of our projects have been selected as finalists in the prestigious REGIOSTARS 2024 competition! 🎉
Out of a record 262 applications from across Europe, Chess Start|ROHU-277 (A Social and Inclusive Europe) and RO-HU 390 TRANSBORDER (A Connected Europe) have made it to the top 25. These outstanding projects, showcasing EU-funded excellence, will be presented and evaluated during the #EURegionsWeek, on October 8-9, in Brussels.
Chess Start has empowered over 100 disadvantaged children from Roma communities in Nyíregyháza, Hungary, and Satu Mare, Romania, by promoting chess as a tool for social inclusion and education. The project, led by the CREST and STEA associations along with the DÁViD Sports Club, has significantly boosted the self-confidence and social integration of these young participants. Project details
