2018 Annual event - "Making a Difference: ROHU Projects in Focus”

The Interreg V-A Romania-Hungary Programme organized in Satu Mare, (Romania), on December 12, 2018 its  Annual event, titled “Making a Difference: ROHU Projects in Focus”.

The event was honoured by the presence of several important guests: Mrs. Vittoria Alliata di Villafranca, Director DG REGIO for Eastern Europe at the European Commission, H.E. Mr. Botond Zákonyi, the Ambassador of Hungary in Romania and Mr. Sava Diamandi, the representative of the Embassy of Romania in Hungary. The Managing Authority of the Programme was represented by Mrs. Roxana Panaite Racoviţă Jalova, Head of the Managing Authority of the Programme. On behalf of the Hungarian National Authority, Mrs. Nikoletta Horváth, the Head of Department for Cross-border Cooperation Programmes from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade also attended the conference.

The annual event of the Programme was greeted at local level by the welcome note of Mr. Csaba Pataki, the President of Satu Mare County Council.

The aim of the event was to present the progress of the Programme and to discuss the cooperation perspectives of the region for the 2021-2027 programming period. Furthermore, the participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn more about the ROHU projects under implementation.

The conference brought together more than 100 participants from both partner states: stakeholders, project beneficiaries, as well as professionals working in the field of territorial cooperation and/or regional development.

To honour the European Year of Cultural Heritage, the 2018 edition of our Annual event ended in an informal setting, with a Christmas carol concert, performed by a group of children from Satu Mare, covering a mixed Romanian and Hungarian repertoire.
