

The 5th Monitoring Committee Meeting, held online on 16 December 2025, marked an important milestone in the implementation of the Interreg VI-A Romania–Hungary Programme.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review progress to date and to set priorities for the upcoming implementation phase. Thanks to the dedication and professionalism of project partners and Programme structures, the Programme has reached full operational capacity and continues to advance in line with the planned timetable.
Project implementation is progressing smoothly, financial targets have been met, and tangible results are increasingly visible across the Romania–Hungary cross-border area.

These achievements reflect close cooperation, shared responsibility, and mutual trust among all stakeholders, ensuring that strategic objectives are translated into concrete benefits for cross-border communities.
Update at the beginning of 2026:
Since the Monitoring Committee Meeting, five additional projects have been successfully finalised, bringing the total number of completed projects to six.
Looking ahead, the Programme will continue to build on these solid foundations to deliver sustainable, long-term impact across the region in the current year and beyond.
