What does the Romanian-Hungarian border area need most? What challenges do people and organisations face across the border, and where can we work together?
The Interreg VI-A Romania-Hungary Programme (Managing Authority, Hungarian National Authority, Joint Secretariat and Info Point), together with experts from the Central European Service for Cross-border Initiatives (CESCI), invites stakeholders from Romania and Hungary to a series of joint workshops.
These workshops are an opportunity to share local knowledge and experience, discuss common challenges and help identify priorities for future cooperation.
Two perspectives, one shared goal
The workshops look at cross-border cooperation from two complementary angles:
In short, functional workshops identify where, and for which territories, the issues matter, while sectoral workshops identify which thematic issues matter. Together they give us a clearer picture of the border area and point to opportunities for joint action. The main conclusions will feed into the Territorial Analysis, which supports the preparation of the Interreg Chapter for 2028–2034.
When and where?
In-person workshops follow local time (EET in Romania, CET in Hungary); online workshops follow CET (Hungarian time).
