Public consultation of the Guide for Applicants for the third Restricted Call for strategic project proposals - opened until the 6th of June 2017

On May 05 2017, the Ministry of Regional Development, Public Administration and European Funds, acting as Managing Authority for the Interreg V-A Romania – Hungary Programme, launches for public consultation, the Guide for Applicants for the third Restricted Call for strategic projects proposals, within Interreg V-A Romania – Hungary Programme.

In this context, stakeholders are invited to get involved in the consultation process and express their views and suggestions regarding the Guide, by sending them until the 6th of June 2017, to the following e-mail addresses: rohu@mdrap.ro and joint.secretariat@brecoradea.ro .

The documents (the Guide and annexes) are available on the MRDPAEF’s website, under the section dedicated to Interreg V-A Romania – Hungary Programme (http://www.mdrap.ro/dezvoltare-regionala/-4970/-7572/-1369) and on the Programmes website, here.

The funding available for this restricted Call for strategic project proposals is allocated to the launched Investment priorities (Ip) as follows:

  • 6/c - conserving, protecting, promoting and developing natural and cultural heritage - 27,032,255.30 EUR, of which 22,977,417.00 EUR represents financing from the ERDF;
  • 7/c - developing and improving environmentally friendly and low-carbon transport systems9,836,374.12 EUR, of which 8,360,918.00 represents financing from the ERDF;
  • 8/b - supporting employment-friendly growth through the development of endogenous potential -– 9,836,374.12 EUR, of which 8,360,918.00 represents financing from the ERDF.

The eligible area of the Programme comprises, Arad, Bihor, Satu Mare and Timiş counties (in Romania) and, Békés, Csongrád, Hajdú-Bihar and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg (in Hungary).

The total budget of the Programme is of 231,861,763.00 euro, of which 189,138,672.00 euro represents financing from the European Regional Development Fund.

During 2014-2020 period, the programme intends to support flagship (strategic) projects, under 4 priority axes, in the fields of joint protection and efficient use of common values and resources (Cooperating on common values and resources), improvement of sustainable cross-border mobility and removal of bottlenecks (Cooperating on accessibility), improvement of employment and promotion of cross-border labour market (Cooperating on employment), as well as improvement of health-care services (Cooperating on health-care and prevention).

Romania is acting as Managing Authority (through the Ministry of Regional Development, Public Administration and European Funds), the National Authority being established within the Prime Minister’s Office in Hungary, while the Joint Secretariat is functioning within BRECO, in Oradea. The designated Audit Authority of the Programme is the Romanian Court of Accounts. The Managing Authority performs the certification functions.
